Welcome to Freelance Logistics.

I have worked in the events industry since 1990 and, prior to that, was in hotels and hospitality. In 1999 I set up Freelance Logistics and have had the pleasure of working on some amazing events in this time. I have worked with some of the top event agencies in a variety of roles assisting with both long and short term contracts, and have also worked with a number of clients in putting together their full event from end to end.

During my time in the business, I have built up a network of highly experienced freelancers that it has been my pleasure to work with – this allows me to put together exactly the right team for the job, as and when required.

Venue Search

Over the years I have built up not only a huge knowledge of international and UK venues and hotels, but excellent supplier relationships. This allows me to get a fast response which is appropriate for the brief, taking into account any relevant compliance issues, and will have in-built cost savings. It also means that, unlike some automated venue searches, I am able to suggest some of the lesser known and more boutique properties.

Full event management

Whether you require someone to head up a team in your office or to put together the right team on your behalf, I have the track record. I have dealt with all levels of customers, from storemen, distributors and prize winners to C level executives of some of the world’s leading blue chip companies. I am also up to date with current healthcare and financial compliance.

On site assistance

Sometimes you may just require an extra pair of hands on site and, having someone friendly and experienced makes it all that much easier!

Case Studies

I have worked in most countries around the globe and with most nationalities and, if I haven’t, I probably know someone who has! Projects have ranged from small board level meetings to large product launches and business sectors have included healthcare and pharmaceutical, FMCG, electronics, and agriculture.

I have pulled together and managed full teams which have included a range of other disciplines, including production and registration and pride myself on my account handling skills with excellent client relationships up to C board level. I am just as happy assisting with elements of any event - such as venue search, proposal writing or budgets.

Case Study 01
Gaggenau were planning their first new product launch in eight years and contacted me to arrange a UK launch for 100 distributors and 60 press. Due to the prestige of the new products, it was decided that the invitation should be expanded across Europe and became a launch for 300 trade on night one and 150 press on the second night. The complexities entailed regular meetings with the UK and German marketing teams, as well as their German design team. Requirements included registration and delegate management and full event management using a range of suppliers including production, external catering, hotels, entertainers, florist and transportation, as well as the onsite management. We took over some of the arches under London Bridge and, working in conjunction with our appointed production company, transformed these into a number of rooms including hot and cold rooms which were suitably themed, and a kitchen dining area where they were able to demonstrate their products.

Case Study 02
I was approached by an Australian distributor of agricultural chemicals to put together a factory study tour for their top customers to their Chinese manufacturing plant. Invites were sent to owners of some of the largest farms in Australia and New Zealand with the group size being 12. Flights were booked for them to fly into Shanghai were they overnighted and spent the following day on a plant tour and high level meetings. The visit culminated in 4 days in Hong Kong at the Rugby Sevens. As an indication of their satisfaction with the event, when the Chinese board travelled to the UK for high level meetings the following year, we arranged their full programme in London on their behalf.
